The story of Abaake by eQuip is deeply rooted in the vibrant heart of Ibadan, Nigeria. As young girl, I discovered my love for fashion at her mother’s side. I was captivated by the colours, patterns, and textures of the fabrics my mother worked with, and it was in our living room workshop that I learned the art of fashion design. My mother’s skilled hands and creative spirit inspired me to dream big and to see the beauty in our rich cultural heritage.

From these humble beginnings, I nurtured my passion and honed my skills, driven by a desire to share the exquisite beauty of Afrocentric fashion with the world. Abaake by eQuip was born out of this passion, a testament to the traditions of my homeland and the modern, global vision I hold. Our journey began in the bustling markets of Ibadan, where the local community embraced our designs and fuelled our growth.
